SouthBay Rehabilitation offers safe, efficient strengthening and conditioning of your entire musculature utilizing Pilates mat and reformer equipment.  The overall goal of Pilates is abdominal and core control for a strong and healthy back and body.

Developed 90 years ago by Joseph Pilates (pronounced “pih-lah-teez”), Pilates exercises are done with concentration and precision, emphasizing core stability and spinal flexibility. The exercises are done on specifically designed equipment (reformer equipment) or on the floor (mat work). Pilates simultaneously lengthens and strengthens your musculature, working the entire body as an integrated whole, resulting in the most balanced body imaginable. It is unlike any other exercise!
